THE RACE
2024 RACE UPDATE:
The 2024 Ride or Glide is FULL! There will be no day of registration.
The Ride or Glide is all about having fun! We want to bring together the skiing and fat biking community to celebrate our favorite time of year! So, grab a teammate and get ready to enjoy a fun flat course, sunshine, friends, music, food, and some great prizes!
The Ride or Glide is a 2 person relay race (no you can't do it alone). Teams will be comprised of either 2 skiers, or 1 skier and 1 fat biker. Each teammate will complete the same flat and fun 9km loop. If you enter the biker + skier division, the biker will go first. Going first is great. Going first means you get more time to hang out, eat, drink, and cheer from the deck of Greens Bar and Grill!

JUNIOR NATIONALS
SCHOLARSHIP
Each year several youth skiers from Fairbanks qualify to represent Team Alaska at the Junior National Ski Championships. For junior skiers making this team is the pinnacle of their season. Unfortunately, for many families the excitement of their child reaching this goal is overshadowed by the burden of the expenses that come with the trip. Most years it cost over $3,500 to compete for Team Alaska! These young skiers worked hard to earn their spot on the team, and we don't want to see any interior skiers turning down their spot on Team Alaska for financial reasons. The goal with the Ride or Glide is to raise money for the Junior Nationals Scholarship fund.
